Dakota Johnson and Machine Gun Kelly attended an exclusive party for the luxury fashion brand Khaite in Los Angeles on Thursday night amid their new romance.

Johnson, 37, and the musician, 36, whose real name is Colson Baker, exited the bash within minutes of each other before getting into the same waiting car. Baker tried to cover himself after climbing into the vehicle alongside the actress, and the pair then drove away together.

The Thursday evening appearance is the latest joint outing for Johnson, who stars in the film Verity, and Baker, who acted in the biographical drama The Dirt alongside his career in music.

Outfits at the Los Angeles Khaite party
Johnson wore an all-black outfit for the Los Angeles event. She paired a black zip-up hoodie with a short black lace-trimmed skirt and black knee-high boots, and carried a small black leather bag on her shoulder.

Baker wore a green satin jacket for the evening and had his face partially covered by a red bandana.

Khaite is a New York-based women's luxury fashion label founded in 2016 by creative director Catherine Holstein. The label is recognized in the fashion industry for its structured leather outerwear, cashmere knitwear, and celebrity events in New York and Los Angeles.
Inside Dakota Johnson and Machine Gun Kelly's romance
The joint appearance in Los Angeles follows a recent report by the Daily Mail revealing that Johnson is having "the best sex of her life" with the pop-punk rapper.

According to a source close to the actress who spoke to People in October, a "smitten" Johnson has been focusing on strengthening her growing bond with Baker, with whom she shares a "dry and dark sense of humour".
"There's a lot of chemistry and she's been going to the studio with him while he works," the source told People. "For now, it makes her happy."
Baker, who records under the stage name Machine Gun Kelly and released the song Fix Ur Face, began his music career in hip-hop in Cleveland, Ohio, during the early 2010s. He later transitioned to pop-punk with his 2020 chart-topping album Tickets to My Downfall and its 2022 follow-up Mainstream Sellout, and portrayed Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee in the 2019 film The Dirt.
Timeline of the New York City sightings
Johnson and Baker are said to have first caught each other's eye in July while attending the wedding of pop singer Taylor Swift and professional football player Travis Kelce as invited guests at Madison Square Garden, the major indoor arena in Midtown Manhattan.
The pair first sparked romance rumours in September when they were photographed sneaking into Swift's apartment in the Tribeca neighbourhood of New York City. Johnson was seen sprinting into the Lower Manhattan residence solo, with Baker arriving at the building 30 minutes later.

Before her romance with Baker began, Johnson was romantically linked to American singer-songwriter Role Model, whose real name is Tucker Pillsbury. Following a reported split in June, Pillsbury began performing an unreleased track titled Love I You in late July that featured a flirty spoken-word cameo by Johnson. By August, Johnson and Pillsbury had quietly ended their low-key eight-month relationship.
Previous relationships with Chris Martin and Megan Fox
Before dating Pillsbury, Johnson was in a long-term relationship with Chris Martin, 49, the lead vocalist, pianist, and co-founder of the British rock band Coldplay. Johnson and Martin dated for nearly eight years before quietly breaking off their engagement in June 2025.
Baker was previously in a five-year, on-and-off relationship with actress Megan Fox, 40, who is known for her roles in the Transformers film franchise and Jennifer's Body. Baker and Fox share a 19-month-old daughter named Saga. The musician is also the father of a 17-year-old daughter, Casie, whom he shares with his former girlfriend Emma Cannon.
Johnson comes from a prominent Hollywood acting family as the daughter of Miami Vice star Don Johnson, 76, and Working Girl actress Melanie Griffith, 69, as well as the granddaughter of The Birds actress Tippi Hedren. Johnson gained international recognition playing Anastasia Steele in the Fifty Shades film trilogy from 2015 to 2018 and later starred in films including Suspiria, The Lost Daughter, and the superhero film Madame Web.
Dakota Johnson on musicians and motherhood
Johnson addressed her history of dating musicians in an interview published in the October issue of Vogue.
"They like me. I don't know what to say. And I like them," Johnson told the publication. Asked what there is not to like about musicians, she replied: "A lot! A lot. Tricky motherf***ers."
Despite those remarks about musicians, the actress said in the same interview that she hopes to put down family roots and become a mother.
"I really do. I didn't expect to be this age and at this place in my life, but for whatever reason, that's the plan of the universe," Johnson told the outlet. "So I would love that. I hope that that happens for me."
"I've always felt, especially the last few years, that there is a soul that wants to come through. And I hope that I'm lucky enough to be able to do that," she said.
