Robert Downey Jr. is taking on the role of Doctor Doom, the villain from Fantastic Four comics, in Marvel's upcoming Avengers: Doomsday. Directors of the film reportedly said his voice performance gave them chills when they heard it.

The film is set to premiere on December 18. Downey Jr., an Academy Award winner, previously became known for playing Tony Stark, also known as Iron Man, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
