Actor Eddie Redmayne and his wife Hannah Bagshawe made a rare joint appearance on Thursday at Saint Laurent's Paris Fashion Week party in Paris.
The couple coordinated in sleek black attire for the star-studded event. Bagshawe, 43, wore a mini dress, while Redmayne, 44, chose a jumper paired with a shirt and tie. The couple, who have been together for over a decade, are parents to ten-year-old daughter Iris and eight-year-old son Luke.

Meeting at Eton College
Paris Fashion Week is one of the fashion industry's main bi-annual showcases, drawing luxury houses, international designers, and global celebrities to the French capital. Saint Laurent, the French luxury fashion house founded in 1961 by Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé, hosted the star-studded gathering attended by the couple.
Redmayne and Bagshawe first met 26 years ago in 2000, when both were teenagers attending neighboring schools in England. Redmayne was a student at Eton College, the independent boys' boarding school in Berkshire, where he was in the same school year as Prince William. Bagshawe, a former public relations expert, was enrolled at an all-girls boarding school nearby.
The pair crossed paths when Bagshawe's school organized a charity fashion show at Eton. Following the event, the two introduced themselves at an after-party and established a lasting friendship that spanned more than a decade before turning romantic.

First date in Florence
Reflecting on their long-term bond, Redmayne has previously highlighted the value of their shared history. "It's great that she found me attractive then and still does," the actor said. "It's also wonderful having a shared history and friends, even though we didn't get together for 15 years."
Their romance officially began in January 2012, after Redmayne invited Bagshawe to join him on a spontaneous trip to Italy during a break from filming the musical movie Les Misérables.
Recounting the story in 2015 to the Daily Mail, Redmayne explained how the trip came about. "I'd finished rehearsals and was about to start shooting in a few days and so I said to myself, 'I'm going to go to Florence for a quick break and write or do something like that,'" he said. "Before I went, Hannah and I were on a sort of date. We'd been good friends for 12 years and we had a wonderful evening and I suddenly said, 'You don't want to come to Florence with me next week, do you?' She said, 'That's absurd, you don't mean it.' I said, 'Yes I do!' So our first proper date was in Florence."

Engagement and family life
After two years of dating, Redmayne proposed in June 2014. The couple married six months later in December 2014 at Babington House, a historic Grade II listed manor house and private club set in Somerset, England. This December, the couple will celebrate 12 years of marriage.
Redmayne has frequently credited Bagshawe with keeping him anchored amid the fast-paced demands of film stardom. Speaking to PEOPLE magazine about how she manages his Hollywood career demands, he praised her steadying presence. "I think saint might be the word. She is an absolute saint," he said. "And it's a ride for both of us. It's wonderful doing it with someone you love because you also have a second eye on it all."
He added that having a trusted partner helps him navigate the entertainment world. "This whole industry is the most joyous, absurd circus. It's great to have someone when you get too immersed in it or drinking the Kool-Aid to say, 'Wait a second?'"

Recent projects and upcoming roles
Redmayne, who won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking in the 2014 biopic The Theory of Everything, recently scored major television success. He produced and starred in the Sky television series drama The Day of the Jackal, based on the classic political assassin novel by Frederick Forsyth. His performance earned him nominations at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, Critics Choice Awards, and Golden Globe Awards.
Looking ahead, the actor is set to appear on screen in the upcoming thriller feature film Panic Carefully, scheduled for release in spring 2027. Written and directed by Mr. Robot creator Sam Esmail, the movie also stars Academy Award winner Julia Roberts, Elizabeth Olsen, and Joe Alwyn.
