Emily Blunt and John Krasinski made a rare public outing with their two daughters in New York on Sunday, taking Hazel, 12, and Violet, ten, to watch the men's final at the US Open.
The Hollywood couple sat in the stands at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Flushing to watch American Ben Shelton take on German Alexander Zverev, marking one of the few times they have brought their children out in public together.
Krasinski, 46, wore a black striped polo shirt, while Blunt, 43, wore an orange sleeveless top with gold jewelry. The pair have been married since 2010.
Blunt on daughters following her into acting
Blunt has said both her daughters are already interested in following their parents into acting, but the actress appears wary of encouraging it.
"My toes curl when people tell me, 'My daughter wants to be an actress.' I want to say, 'Don't do it!'" she told Harper's Bazaar UK. "Because it's a hard industry and it can be very disappointing," she continued.
"A lot of people tell you not to take things personally, but it's completely personal, especially when you're being judged on how you look. So you just have to endure that side of things."
Blunt has also said she struggles with the demands acting places on family life. "Even though they're hardy, and they're used to this strange life, it's still rough on them when I have to go away," she said. "There are cornerstones of the girls' day that I don't want to compromise on, like, will you wake me up, take me to school, pick me up and put me to bed? And I just want to be able to say, yes, yes, yes. It's such an exhale for me to be able to do that."
Daughters' excitement for the Devil Wears Prada sequel
In April, Blunt said her daughters had watched The Devil Wears Prada, the 2006 film in which she starred, after their friends became "very into it." Hazel and Violet were excited to see Blunt's character, Emily Charlton, the senior assistant to Runway magazine's formidable editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly, played by Meryl Streep, return in the upcoming sequel.
"My kids saw it for the first time maybe a year or so ago, and partly because their friends are very into it," Blunt told E! News. "And then my kids again watched it last night because they know they're going to see this one soon, and they just love it."
Krasinski said he adored The Devil Wears Prada 2 as well. Asked how her family reacted when they learned she would be doing the sequel, Blunt said: "He loves it, and he's a massive fan of the first movie. So he was thrilled. The kids were thrilled."

The sequel follows a near-retiree Miranda competing with Emily, her former assistant turned executive, over advertising revenue. Thousands of fans gathered in New York to watch Streep, Blunt, Anne Hathaway, reprising her role as Andy Sachs, and Stanley Tucci, returning as Nigel Kipling, shoot scenes in the city last summer.
The attention made filming the follow-up to the 2006 original tricky at times. In March, Blunt was quoted by Best magazine as saying: "I have never experienced anything like it. We had paparazzi taking pictures. There were fans there every day."
"It was difficult at times because, of course, you want to keep everything under wraps. But yeah, the level of interest has been just incredible."
Blunt on the original film's lasting appeal
Blunt has suggested the original Devil Wears Prada has become a "nostalgia bank" for viewers. She told ELLE magazine: "The movie now is like a nostalgia bank for people. People have watched that movie 50 times. They've watched it with a sick parent; they've watched it when they go through a breakup. It has been a source of comfort and escapism. And the movie is really incredible as well. I think it's a beautiful movie."
"In many ways, what starts off as a comedy - with the shock factor of the things they say, how they say them, and the ruthless nature of the fashion industry - then turns into something much more poignant and deep. I think it's that shift in tone that people really gravitate toward."
