The announcement of which Bulgarian city will host the 71st Eurovision Song Contest has been pushed back after the international evaluation team failed to reach a final decision.
Bulgarian public television BNT skipped its planned announcement on July 31, saying the team assessing the two bids is still reviewing proposals. Both Sofia and Burgas are competing to host the contest, which Bulgaria won the right to stage following Dara’s victory with the song “Bangaranga.”
According to BNT, additional information and clarifications have been requested from the municipal authorities of both candidate cities. The evaluation process will continue until the review is complete.
