Beloved ‘Payasita Perlita’ dies at 37: leaves behind three children

Perla Domínguez, known in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, as the “Payasita Perlita”, died at the age of 37 of age after hospitalization for a few days for a “hepatic coma”.

According to local media such as El Diario MX, the artist was hospitalized on Tuesday, August 27, her husband and co-host of the show, “Payaso Balín,” reported.

During her hospital stay, friends and family asked for blood donors, as well as prayers for Perlita.

On the morning of August 29, the death of the artist was announced on the official account of Payasos Balin y Perlita (Chiken Family Los politos) on Facebook.

“Now we have a star in the sky. We will always love you,” the short message reads.

They later reported that the funeral will be held on Saturday, August 31.

Who was “Pearlita the Clown”?

Perla Nallely Domínguez was a member of the “Chicken Family” clown group, who are well known in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, where they performed at events in the state that borders the United States.

Perlita was dedicated to the profession for over 20 years and was also an expert in clown makeup.

The 37-year-old appeared on the show with her husband, Clown Ballin, and her three children ‘Chicken’, Camila and Natty, whom she called ‘chickens’.

Various local artists, as well as the mayor of the city, Cruz Pérez Cuéllar, mourned the death of “Payasita Perlita” on social networks.
