Liam Payne’s girlfriend reveals why she left Argentina four days before singer’s death

Kate Cassidy, Liam Payne’s girlfriend, left Argentina four days before the former One Direction member died after falling from the balcony of the hotel room where he was staying in Buenos Aires.

The singer’s partner posted a video on TikTok on October 14 where he recounts what it was like to be back in Florida after “She was ready to go,” given that “He doesn’t like to be in the same place for days.” Their trip was only for “five days” and extended to “two weeks”.

“I thought I should go home,” Cassidy said in the video, which shows him traveling first class.

In the video she does not explain why her boyfriend Liam decided to stay in Argentina, a country they traveled to in early October to attend a concert by Niall Horan, Payne’s former One Direction bandmate. However, he confessed that he already wanted to return home.

Kate Cassidy is originally from New Jersey and is 25 years old. As she recounted in a TikTok video, she met Liam at a bar where she was a waitress, because that night she had to serve him.

Liam and Kate were first linked in October 2022, following the singer’s messy split from Maya Henry.

Payne and Cassidy made their official debut as a couple a month later when they posed on the red carpet at the British Fashion Awards.

Shortly after being spotted at another public event, they arrived together at the premiere of ‘All of Those Voices’ by ex-partner Louis Tomlinson.

In May 2023, it was speculated that they had broken up, but shortly after the rumors spread, they were seen holding hands and very affectionate.
