The influencer vented on social media
Paloma Souzawho was bitten by monkeys during a trip to Thailand, is returning to Brazil. The influencer spent more than R$7,000 on rabies vaccines, culminating in a severe allergic reaction.
On social media, Paloma explained that she had an online consultation with a Brazilian specialist, who prescribed drugs to eliminate the allergy. However, in pharmacies in Japan, where Paloma is now located, they do not accept documents signed by foreigners.
“I know I can’t continue to cry, to despair, because it’s very frustrating. Look at my face. Nobody here knows anything, they don’t know the doctor’s name, nothing,” he said in a video posted on his Instagram profile.
“[O médico brasileiro] passed the prescription, issued an international code, but they don’t accept it here, only Japanese prescription. I went to the clinic, no one helped me.”
Paloma Souza made it clear that she will remain in the country until February 5, but that she has chosen to return out of fear that the allergy will worsen. “If anything else happens between now and then, what will I do? There’s nothing I can do!”she said, in tears.
“I found a ticket, which was shorter, 20 hours or more, because the rest was 48, 50. It cost more R$ 13,600 [por conta da mordida]. I’m going home because I’m very scared.” reported.
“I have a very severe allergy due to reactions to the rabies vaccine. This allergy is very rare, it shouldn’t even have happened”he concluded.
