Ana Paula Siebert returns to talk about “the rich who suffer from prejudice in Brazil”

An influencer comments on criticism of the rich in Brazil and says businessmen should be seen as an example and a source of inspiration

The influencer Ana Paula Siebertpresenter’s wife Roberto Giustoattracted attention again on social networks and the media this week after speaking about the perception of businessmen and people with high purchasing power in Brazil. During his participation in a fashion event on Monday evening, the 27th, he spoke openly about the prejudice he believes exists against the rich and businessmen, sparking debates among followers and internet users.

In an interview with the digital influencer Firmino CortadaSiebert spoke about the negative opinion that she said is common among many Brazilians towards those who are financially successful. He stressed that entrepreneurs should be admired for their courage, ability to create jobs and create opportunities.

“Entrepreneurs are a great source of inspiration, they are admired, and here we have a group that considers entrepreneurs as devils, as a bad thing. But why? It is the entrepreneur who gives work, opportunities, who has courage. Why is he like that? If he shows off, it is the fruit of his work”, Ana Paula said.

He added that, in other countries, the culture of valuing and applauding entrepreneurs is more common, while in Brazil the population tends to view financial success in a critical or even hostile way. “This is very Brazilian, because we don’t see much of it abroad,” he commented, underlining the cultural difference.

Furthermore, Ana Paula Siebert spoke about the emotional impact that this type of judgment can have, especially in a country with marked social inequality. He said that although he loves Brazil and its people, it is sad to realize that those who gain wealth through work and dedication are often the target of negative criticism.

“I love the Brazilian people. Brazil has something that no one else has: our embrace, our love, our culture, our way. We live in a country with huge inequalities, you can’t deny it, and it’s very sad”he stated. He continued: “Some don’t have the basics and some have too much, but I think this should be a window to look for inspiration and not be attacked.”

The influencer also commented on the idea that wealth and financial success do not define character, highlighting that there are businessmen who exploit their conditions in a positive way, helping to create jobs or even promoting social actions. On the other hand, there are also rich people who do not make good use of their wealth. “There are people who have many conditions and use them in wonderful ways: to open a company and create thousands of jobs, or to help people, or to open an NGO (…) There are entrepreneurs who are terrible, just as there are employees who are wonderful and others who are terrible”, explained.

During his speech Siebert defended the importance of considering financial success as the result of commitment, dedication and courage and not as something that can generate envy or negative criticism. She believes that highlighting those who achieve success can serve as inspiration for others to pursue their goals, contributing to a more entrepreneurial and creative country.
