Sabrina Sato reveals that they tried to change her accent early in her career

The presenter said she had been pressured to abandon her origins, but stressed that the public had increasingly connected with her authenticity.

Presenter Sabrina Sato revealed that, early in her career, she faced pressure to change her accent and adopt a more “neutral” speech. Born in Penápolis, in the hinterland of Sao Paulo, she said she heard several times that she would have to soften her way of speaking to adapt to television, but she never gave in.

“They tried to change my accent, but no one succeeded”Sabrina declared in an interview with the newspaper O Globo.

According to the presenter, her authenticity has always been what brought the audience closer: “My characteristics are very strong. And I always felt more wanted and loved when I was myself, even if some people didn’t like me. The way I speak represents my roots, it represents where I come from. And I know that the public talks about my authenticity.”

Sabrina currently hosts the program “Sua Maravilhosa”, broadcast on GNT, in which she goes undercover to listen to stories of women in different social contexts. The attraction has ten episodes, four of which are already available.

In addition to her busy recording routine, the presenter balances her personal life with motherhood. Married to actor Nicolas Prattes, she is the mother of six-year-old Zoe and admits that balancing career and family is a constant challenge: “Before Zoe, I went to samba, I drank everything […] Today I seek this balance. It’s hard, because it seems like we’re always in debt.”

Sabrina also shared that she has a team that helps her with her daily schedule and focus: “I have people who help me and remind me every ten minutes what I need to do. Because, in addition to the busy schedule, I have ADHD.”
