Matthew Perry, out of nowhere: “Why is Heath Ledger dead and Keanu Reeves not?”

The ‘Friends’ actor lashes out at Keanu, for no apparent reason, in his memoir.

The memoir that ‘Friends’ actor Matthew Perry is about to publish has been making headlines all week. We have discovered secrets of the relationship between Perry and Julia RobertsMatthew Perry’s costly fight against addiction and why he had to abandon the filming of ‘Don’t look up’, but without a doubt the most surprising are the statements about Keanu Reeves that have seen the light yesterday.

If there’s one person in Hollywood who gets sympathy by consensus, it’s Keanu Reeves, one of the most loved actors and with zero haters in the industry. At least, until now. In two moments of his memories, Perry questions why Keanu Reeves is still alive when “talented” actors and “original thinkers” like River Phoenix, Heath Ledger and Chris Farley all died tragic deaths. So, out of nowhere.

“River was a beautiful man, inside and out; he turned out to be too beautiful for this world. It always seems like it’s the really talented guys who fall. Why do original thinkers like River Phoenix and Heath Ledger die, but Keanu Reeves continues to walk among us? River was a better actor than me; I was more fun.”

East free attack is repeated when Perry remembers the death of another companion, comedian Chris Farley. “His illness had progressed faster than mine. (Also, he had a healthy fear of the word ‘heroin,’ a fear we didn’t share)” writes Perry. “I cut a hole in the wall of Jennifer Aniston’s dressing room when I found out about her death. Keanu Reeves walks among us. I had to promote ‘Heroes by chance’ two weeks after his death. I was drugged the whole time.”
