LEVI’S REVIVES THE ¨LEVI’S FOR FEET¨ COLLECTION FOR FALL/WINTER 2022

Levi’s for feet

In September 1975, Levi’s entered the footwear market for the first time with a collection called “Levi’s for Feet.” At that time, he presented 12 original models, which the then press release called “designed for a youthful, rebellious and casual look”. Nowadays, when the influence of the 70s and 80s can be seen across everything including fashion, it seems like the perfect time to remember the classic era of Levi’s shoes. And by that we mean to remember it literally with a new collection that we are happy to present for the just started autumn/winter 2022 season and which bears the same name.

Two main pillars

This year’s collection revived two models from 1975. The main inspiration was again youth and rough rebellion, which were inherent in the original line “Levi’s for Feet.” An important new component is new modern design technology and materials for maximum functionality and comfort. Two models will be introduced directly for this season – the RVN 75 and the RVN 75, which is visually based on the original shoes from 1975. Other parts of the collection will be gradually introduced over the next year. Originally called the Raven, the RVN 75 is one of the first Levi’s for Feet designs. So it makes the most sense to start with this casual and timeless model. The ankle shape and rubber sole mix the aesthetics of the 70s with a modern style that will naturally fit into today’s wardrobe. You’d be hard-pressed to find a better shoe to pair with the immortal vintage Levi’s 501 jeans. A reduced version of the RVN 75 Low will also be presented. Both models are suede and unisex in women’s and men’s sizes.

Historical material

They are available in three muted natural colors and you will find them in several leather finishes that draw on the traditions of the world’s most famous tanneries. The high-quality suede leather comes from a tannery in Leeds, England, which is one of the most prestigious in Great Britain. Another type of leather is supplied by Horween in Chicago, founded in 1905. It is one of the oldest factories of its kind in America and the source of the exclusive full grain leather, the leather with the most preserved top layer of material. All shoes from the Levi’s for Feet collection are assembled in Portugal, which is considered the Mecca of the production of the highest quality leather products. The models are instantly recognizable thanks to the orange Levi’s label on the outside of each genuine shoe. In the box, you will also find a fabric bag and a special leaflet with an introduction to the entire collection, including information on leather processing.
