The improved version of the award-winning predecessor is loaded with innovative technologies, developed to maximize the performance of every runner from the first to the last kilometer. The new model was also positively evaluated by top Czech runners – marathon runner Vít Pavlišta and Olympian and marathon runner Marcela Joglová, and it also received an award from the prestigious, global running media Runner’s World. In 2021, PUMA made a grandiose return to the running scene. After disappearing for a while, it has picked up speed again and after the successful launch of the RUN PUMA NITRO running line last year, it comes with the second generation of innovations. She pumped the new models with several effective technologies that she developed in cooperation with the runners themselves.

Tested by professionals
Puma leaves the stress test on real runners of all kinds.“When creating NITRO shoes, we collaborate with elite and leisure runners, whose feedback we incorporate into new generations, which are thus constantly moving forward. We are very happy that after the successful launch of the NITRO collection, we managed to take the innovative shoes to a higher level and can present other novelties. Our goal is to meet the needs of every runner, so the collection offers a choice from fast shoes for the marathon (Deviate NITRO Elite Racer) to universal shoes for regular training (Velocity NITRO 2) to shoes designed to fit the female foot (Run XX).” says Lucie Hložánková, Communication Marketing Manager of the PUMA brand. The updated Deviate NITRO 2 model in gradient orange design brings several improvements. Thanks to a layer of premium NITRO foam along the entire length of the shoe, it provides even better response and more perfect cushioning than its award-winning predecessor. An improved PWR-PLATE carbon layer with an innovative platform construction supports maximum energy transfer on rebound, while a breathable mesh upper offers additional cushioning and grip around the ankle to prevent heel slippage. Improved traction and a lighter construction complete this technology-packed running shoe that thrives on any distance. “I’ve tried practically every carbon shoe on the market. Each one has a slightly different concept – PUMAs are rather softer and more comfortable. I rate their stability very positively – they are not that high and thanks to that they are much more stable especially on the blocks,” says Czech marathon runner Vít Pavlišta.

Consideration of the female foot
In addition, the women’s version of the Deviate NITRO 2 shoe takes into account the specifics of the shape of the female foot, to which the width of the shoe has been adjusted. “This shoe fit me perfectly – my foot doesn’t hurt in it, it’s light, soft, comfortable and fast. It runs beautifully. I like her softness. When I tried harder shoes, the pain in my ankle shot up to my calf. I don’t have it now,” commented Olympian and marathon runner Marcela Joglová on the Deviate NITRO 2 model. The Deviate NITRO 2 model, which received an award from the prestigious, global running media Runner’s World for the second year in a row, is not the only running novelty that PUMA is coming up with this fall. A lightweight version of the Deviate NITRO Elite Racer with an INNOPLATE carbon insert to maximize energy transfer will also appear on the market. The silhouette is designed specifically to increase speed and optimize performance on race day. For female runners, PUMA comes with an improved RUN XX model, designed with the specifics of the female foot in mind. The model has an improved cut that hugs the silhouette of the foot and thus ensures stability for any distance. PUMA has also prepared a real cherry for its fans – because it comes with the holy grail of running – a limited collection of fifty pieces of top racing shoes Fast-R NITRO, in which until now only professional runners ran. Now, however, they are being sold from the racetrack’s winning crates. The cushioned Fast–R NITRO heel works with the responsive forefoot in synergy to maximize running economy, meaning the athlete uses less energy at the same speed. The fantastic cut of the upper resembles a sock, and thanks to the PWRTAPE technology, which ensures support, the shoe firmly adheres to the foot. The innovative NITRO Elite foam gives the shoe the necessary lightness and thus fine-tunes the synergy of functional elements to absolute perfection, which is complemented by the innovative PWR-PLATE carbon plate. Also new is the Fast-Trac NITRO model – a light running shoe that is a solution for any terrain. It can handle gravel, mud and snow without any problem and is therefore suitable footwear for all 4 seasons.
