The children’s ball “The Tale of Tsar Saltan” was held with a charitable purpose – part of the funds raised during the event will be directed to the needs of the Orthodox Social Rescue Service “Mercy”, which provides assistance to sick children, lonely old people, people with disabilities, orphans and the homeless.
The guests, among whom were Sergei Semak, Victoria Shelyagova, Olga Leffers, Edgar Shabanov and others, were greeted by artists of the Russian folk ensemble Khokhloma. The ensemble was followed by a children’s group consisting of fifty artists. In the second section, graduates of the Vaganov School appeared in the hall – the Swan Princess in the author’s kokoshnik from Serafima Zlobina, surrounded by charming snowflakes. The Bolshoi Theater soloist Lada Merkulyeva completed the classical program, crowned with the Kokoshnik tiara by Axenoff. She performed the composer Rimsky-Korsakov’s aria from the opera The Snow Maiden.
