In Spain, the film drew more than one million cinema viewers and became the highest-grossing theatrical release in the country for distributors A24 and Elastica Films.

Based in Barcelona, Filmin is an independent subscription video-on-demand service known across Spain for curating auteur cinema, international festival titles, and classic film restorations.

Spanish cinema and festival award winners

Filmin's film selection for September opens on September 4 with Yo no moriré de amor (I Will Not Die of Love), a family drama directed by Marta Matute. The feature arrives on the service after winning three awards at the Málaga Film Festival, including the Golden Biznaga.

Also arriving on September 4 is Manas, a drama nominated for the Goya Award for Best Ibero-American Film. The production was backed by Brazilian filmmaker Walter Salles and the Belgian directing duo Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne.

On September 11, the platform will release Caso 137 (Case 137), a French investigative thriller directed by Dominik Moll. Starring Léa Drucker, the film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, earned eight César Award nominations, and explores institutional protection mechanisms surrounding police violence.

The schedule expands on September 18 with four additional feature titles: Tony Leung vehicle El amigo silencioso (The Silent Friend), romantic drama Un altre home, Spanish drama Fragmentos, and Raven Jackson's debut feature All Dirt Roads Taste of Salt, which depicts the life of a woman in Mississippi.

Classic film audiences will also gain access to a collection of Paramount Pictures titles restored in 4K starting September 15. The lineup includes Francis Ford Coppola's The Godfather trilogy, Roman Polanski's Rosemary's Baby and Chinatown, and Robert Altman's ensemble drama Nashville.

British series and documentary releases

The television schedule begins on September 1 with Gone, a detective thriller starring David Morrissey and Eve Myles. The series was created and written by George Kay, who previously wrote Lupin and The Long Shadow.

On September 8, Filmin will debut the BBC drama Babies, starring Paapa Essiedu as part of a couple dealing with the aftermath of multiple miscarriages. The award-winning British comedy series Such Brave Girls will also return to the platform for its second season on September 22.

Documentary programming includes The Designer Is Dead, available from September 4. Co-produced by Filmin Original and Little Spain, the film examines the life of Mallorcan fashion designer Miguel Adrover.

On September 11, Filmin will release La superviviente (The Survivor), a documentary miniseries directed by Kike Maíllo. The project investigates the story of Tania Head, a Spanish woman who falsely claimed for years to have survived the September 11 terrorist attacks in New York.
