The lawyer representing Giorgos Mazonakis has revealed that the Greek singer was expecting a positive outcome in a year-long legal dispute shortly before his death.
Charalambos Lykoudis told the main news bulletin on Alpha TV that he had spoken with the popular performer about a week to ten days prior to his passing. Lykoudis described Mazonakis as being in a very good mood and a positive frame of mind during their final conversation.
According to the legal representative, this optimism stemmed from a significant development in a court case that had occupied the singer over the previous year. Lykoudis said Mazonakis was happy because of an extremely positive turn in the proceedings, adding that a final legal vindication in the matter was imminent.

Mazonakis was one of Greece's most prominent recording artists, celebrated for his distinctive voice and a successful career spanning decades in the contemporary Laiko and pop music genres. Over the years, he released numerous multi-platinum albums and became a permanent fixture of Athenian nightlife, frequently headlining the capital's largest live music venues. His sudden death has brought an outpouring of grief from the Greek entertainment industry and his extensive fanbase across the country.
The details regarding his final days emerged during an interview on Alpha TV, one of the country's major national television networks. Speaking to veteran news anchor Antonis Sroiter, Lykoudis explained that the pending legal victory was not the only source of the singer's positive outlook.

The artist was also actively preparing to resume live performances and was looking forward to the future. The lawyer noted that Mazonakis was excited about his upcoming return to the stage, which centered around a large scheduled concert.
Lykoudis said the singer had laid out active professional plans for the winter season and was generally in a stable and positive psychological state.
When Sroiter asked the lawyer to confirm that the singer was in a good place mentally before his death, Lykoudis reiterated that he had seen Mazonakis in very good condition during their last communication.
