Gwyneth Paltrow has insisted she does not wear makeup or use a filter while filming her viral cooking videos, telling music producer Benny Blanco that fans are seeing her true, natural look at home.
The wellness entrepreneur, 53, sat down with Blanco, 38, at the 1 Hotel in New York for an episode of her Goop podcast released Tuesday. Paltrow is known for building Goop into a wellness and lifestyle brand, and for sharing videos of herself cooking at home, including what she calls "boyfriend breakfasts" for her husband, Brad Falchuk, and a recent clip showing fans how to make an apple Dutch baby for early autumn.
Blanco, whose real name is Benjamin Joseph Levin, brought up the cooking clips near the end of the conversation and asked Paltrow directly whether she gets "made up" before filming or uses some kind of filter.
"No. Are you kidding?" Paltrow replied.

Blanco, who is married to singer Selena Gomez, told Paltrow she always looks good in the videos despite the effort involved, joking, "I always wonder, I'm like 'Is she getting made up before these?' Do you have some sort of filter on it?" His remark drew laughter from the live audience.
He also told her, "You look so good and every day you're, like, working so hard and making these videos... I'm like damn... can we come over and be Brad's friends?" Paltrow doubled down on her denial in response.
Earlier in the conversation, Blanco had asked Paltrow about her late-night eating habits. She said she probably would not order food in at 2 a.m., partly because her Goop Kitchen brand is not available at that hour. Blanco joked that she would instead go downstairs, make a frittata and film herself doing it while still looking flawless.
Mouth tape and Googling habits
Later in the episode, Blanco turned the interview around and asked Paltrow questions herself. She revealed that the first thing she does every morning is remove mouth tape that she wears nightly, saying she puts it on "every night." Mouth taping is a practice some people use to encourage nasal breathing overnight and reduce snoring.
Asked about the last thing she had searched for online, Paltrow guessed it was probably something related to "Claude-ing a lot of food stuff."
Paltrow also praised Blanco for his skill at repurposing leftovers, telling him, "My mother would love you."
Falchuk's physique and a Goop candle joke
Blanco, who said he works out at the gym with Falchuk, made Paltrow blush by telling the audience that her husband "has an eight-pack" and looks like "the hulk."
Paltrow recently made a separate appearance on Blanco's other podcast, Friends Keep Secrets, alongside co-hosts Lil Dicky and Kristin Batalucco, where she explained how one of Goop's spicier candle names came about as a joke.
She said she likes unusual scents, describing her preference for "woodsy, leathery" notes and noting that Goop's first perfume, called Church, has an incense-like smell. She said she had been working with perfumer Douglas Little to develop an "earthy" fragrance, testing ingredients including tomato leaves and seaweed.
Paltrow said a comment she made as a joke during that process ended up inspiring an idea Little called "brilliant." She said she has "a very body sense of humor" that most people do not know about, recalling that she told Little the scent smelled like her vagina, intending it purely as a joke.
