Some men wrongly believe that ovulation is an illness, when it is actually a natural stage of the menstrual cycle. Surgeon gynecologist Yana Radutinskikh said this on her Telegram channel.
Radutinskikh said ovulation usually happens in the middle of the cycle, when an egg is released from the ovary and a woman's body becomes most ready for conception. She said hormone levels shift at this point, which can affect mood, wellbeing, appearance and libido. Radutinskikh said meeting a woman during ovulation is not a curse but a great joy.

Lack of knowledge behind the myth
Radutinskikh said the main misconception men have about ovulation comes from a lack of knowledge about female physiology. She urged people to see the process as a normal part of the reproductive system working, rather than as an illness or something to worry about.
Obstetrician-gynecologist Anna Tarasova has previously dismissed the myth that the menstrual cycles of women who work together sync up. According to Tarasova, the effect many people notice is simply the result of coincidence.
