Country singer-songwriter Hannah Dasher revealed that a famous married male celebrity once sent her a direct message on social media. Speaking on the Like a Farmer podcast with host Pat Spinosa, the 40-year-old artist described the interaction as one of the weirdest messages she has received.

Dasher dished on the brash correspondence without disclosing the identity of the individual or how explicit the message was. When asked about risque messages in her inbox, she laughed and turned down sharing specific details on air.

"Well, I don't know that I could share it because they're famous and married," Dasher said with a laugh. "So let me think of another one," she told host Pat Spinosa.

Dasher hinted at the celebrity's high level of fame and power during the conversation. She noted that interacting with him "could have" led to bigger opportunities in her musical career if not for her Christian faith.

Early Career in Nashville

During the podcast episode, Dasher also opened up about her journey in country music, which began after she graduated from college and moved to Nashville. To support herself while working toward becoming a country star, she took a job at Bass Pro Shops.

In the early 2010s, Dasher signed a publishing deal with Sony and ATV Music Publishing in partnership with Jaren Johnston of The Cadillac Three. Several years later, country star Brad Paisley recorded a song she co-wrote, titled Go to Bed Early, for his Love and War album.

Dasher reached another major milestone in 2021 when she signed a recording contract with Sony Music Nashville and released her debut EP, The Half Record.

Losing Sony Music Contract

Shortly after dropping her debut EP, Sony "pulled the plug" on her recording deal. Reflecting on the adversities she faced in her career, Dasher spoke about becoming an independent artist who manages her own path.

"I think losing my record deal was a huge humbling that needed to occur in me," Dasher said on the podcast, admitting that "it was the last thing that I thought was ever going to happen."
