Ukrainian blogger and television personality Inna Belen has baptized her four-month-old daughter, Kira, sharing video footage of the religious ceremony on Instagram.
Belen posted clips from the sacrament online, revealing that the infant now has godparents to guide and protect her. Although the video showed the godparents taking part in the baptism, Belen chose not to disclose their names publicly.
Writing on her Instagram account, Belen expressed her feelings regarding the ceremony for her child. She wrote that her daughter now has earthly angels who will stay nearby, love her, and protect her along her life path. Belen added that she prays for God to safeguard the child, granting her good health, a bright future, and love, while asking that her guardian angel always remain close by.
The Bachelor winner's background
Belen gained widespread public recognition after winning the 13th season of the romantic reality show The Bachelor, known in Ukraine as Kholostyak. The long-running television franchise features a single eligible man choosing a partner from a group of female contestants across a series of dates and rose ceremonies. Following her victory on the show, Belen established a career as a digital creator and lifestyle blogger, sharing updates about her daily life with her online followers.
In Eastern Christian religious traditions, the sacrament of baptism represents a child's formal introduction to the faith. As part of the custom, parents select godparents who pledge to offer lifelong spiritual guidance, moral support, and care for the child alongside the family.
Recalling a dramatic childbirth
The christening comes four months after Belen gave birth to Kira on April 28 of this year. Recalling the birth, Belen previously stated that she delivered her daughter naturally, despite initially heading to the medical center for a planned labor induction. She described the dramatic sequence of events during delivery as resembling a movie plot.
Belen noted that she experienced a high fever during labor and was constantly falling asleep. She admitted that she barely remembered half of the events that occurred immediately after the delivery, explaining that she needed to give her body time to recover from the physical strain.
