Greek influencer Ioanna Touni and television presenter Dimitris Alexandrou shared emotional social media posts on Tuesday, September 1, as their young son Paris departed for a ten-day visit to Athens.
The former couple have established a co-parenting schedule following their separation, allowing Paris to spend regular periods of time with both parents by travelling between Thessaloniki and the Greek capital.
Touni, a businesswoman and social media personality based in Thessaloniki, posted a video with Paris shortly before his departure on Tuesday morning. She spoke openly about her emotional strain, telling her followers that her baby was leaving for Athens for ten days and that she already felt completely empty. She added that coping with his absence for several days each month was the hardest challenge she faced.
Alexandrou responds at airport
A short time later, Alexandrou published his own video recorded at the airport where he had arrived to welcome his son. Addressing the difficulties caused by geographical distance, he stated that the hardest thing in life is not only parting with a child, but also losing precious days together.
Alexandrou followed the video with a pointed written message, stating that children are nobody's property and belong equally to the lives of both parents. He added that every child needs both a mother and a father.
Co-parenting between Thessaloniki and Athens
The posts reflect the ongoing custody arrangement between Touni and Alexandrou, who have organized their routines to ensure Paris maintains close ties with both parents despite living in different cities. Touni, a prominent media figure and entrepreneur, resides in Thessaloniki, the second-largest city in northern Greece, while Alexandrou works as a model and television presenter based in Athens.
Under their current custody schedule, Paris will spend the next ten days in Athens with his father before returning to his mother in Thessaloniki.
