Ukrainian actress Iryna Kudashova has revealed that she is keeping her fiancé's face hidden from the public to protect their relationship from the evil eye, following her recent romantic engagement at Lake Como in Italy.
Speaking in an interview with BLIK.UA, the star of the hit television series School explained that her partner, Borys, does not object to appearing on social media, but her own superstitions have kept her from publishing his picture online.
Kudashova previously shared that she met Borys through a dating application. He is a Ukrainian citizen who has lived and worked abroad for an investment firm since the age of 18.
Fear of the Evil Eye
Kudashova told BLIK.UA that her fiancé is an introvert who does not maintain an Instagram account and prefers to avoid unnecessary public attention. She said that when she asked Borys if he would mind her sharing a photo of him, he told her he had no objections, but female intuition led her to keep his identity private.
The actress added that she is superstitious and currently feels overwhelmed by the intense media scrutiny surrounding her engagement. To ward off negative energy and bad luck, she has added a protective anti-jinx emoji directly to her Instagram profile description.
Background and Personal Health Concerns
Kudashova gained national fame in Ukraine for her lead acting role in School, a popular teen drama series focusing on modern high school life. Her romantic proposal took place at Lake Como, a celebrated resort area in northern Italy known for its picturesque landscapes and historic lakeside villas.
The update about her engagement follows earlier public admissions by the actress regarding her personal health. Kudashova previously revealed that her weight had dropped to 38 kilograms, expressing deep concern about her health as her weight continued to decrease unexpectedly.
