Actor Jamie Foxx has spoken publicly for the first time about becoming a father again at the age of 58, revealing that a chance encounter with Al Pacino helped ease his reservations about late-in-life fatherhood.
The Oscar-winning actor confessed that he initially felt hesitant about having another child at his age, but a conversation with the 86-year-old Pacino changed his mindset about expanding his family.
Foxx addressed the pregnancy of his girlfriend, Alyce Huckstepp, during a joint interview with his 32-year-old daughter Corinne on E. News. He recalled meeting Pacino a few months ago after discovering he was expecting a baby.
"Being my age, I was a little on the fence. But then I ran into Al Pacino a few months ago," Foxx told E. News. Teasing the veteran actor over fatherhood duties, Foxx added: "I said: 'Al, you gonna be back in the drop off line?' I said: 'Aw man, shoot I’m good.'"
Reporters at the Daily Mail reached out to a representative for Pacino seeking comment following Foxx's statements.

Expecting a Third Child
News that Foxx is expecting a baby with Huckstepp first surfaced in May through TMZ, with a source disclosing that she was "already several months along" at the time.
The upcoming arrival will be the third child for Foxx. He is already father to 32-year-old Corinne, whom he shares with his former partner Connie Kline, and 17-year-old Anelise, whom he shares with ex-partner Kristin Grannis.
Huckstepp, an Australian former fitness model, first made public appearances alongside Foxx in 2022, four years before reports of her pregnancy emerged via TMZ. Foxx announced a split from Huckstepp in January 2025, but the pair were seen together in public again by April 2025, confirming their reconciliation.
Support Through a Health Crisis
Huckstepp proved to be a constant source of support for Foxx during his life-threatening medical emergency in 2023. A source told In Touch in March 2024 that Huckstepp "was totally there for him when he got sick, and they got very close after that."
Although his family initially chose to keep details of his illness private, Foxx later spoke candidly about the medical ordeal during his 2024 Netflix stand-up special, What Had Happened Was... In the special, Foxx revealed that he suffered a stroke caused by a brain bleed on April 11, 2023, which left him temporarily using a wheelchair and wiped out 20 days of memory.
"On April 11, I was having a bad headache, and I asked my boy for Aspirin," the Django Unchained star recalled onstage. "I realized quickly that when you're in a medical emergency, your boys don't know what the f*** to do."

Foxx credited his sister Deidra with saving his life after she quickly transported him to Piedmont Metro Atlanta Hospital for emergency care. He explained drily that his family maintained privacy surrounding his condition because he experienced severe dizziness following the stroke, saying: "my head would bob around, and my family thought everyone would 'meme the f***' out of me."
The actor noted that doctors could not identify the root cause of the brain bleed, explaining that the trigger remained "a mystery" and adding: "We still don't know exactly what happened to me."

Al Pacino and Late Fatherhood
Pacino made headlines worldwide in June 2023 when he became one of the oldest known new fathers at age 83, after his then-girlfriend Noor Alfallah, now 32, gave birth to their son Roman.
Prior to welcoming Roman, Pacino was already father to three adult children. He shares his eldest daughter, 36-year-old Julie, with acting teacher Jan Tarrant, as well as 25-year-old twins Anton and Olivia with Coal Miner's Daughter actress Beverly D'Angelo.

When Alfallah became pregnant with Roman, sources reported to TMZ that Pacino was "shocked" and requested a DNA test to confirm paternity, believing that medical issues prevented him from fathering children. Alfallah acceded to the request and underwent testing, which verified that Pacino was indeed the biological father.
Alfallah, who was reportedly born in Kuwait and raised in Beverly Hills, holds full physical custody of Roman while sharing legal custody with Pacino. Court documents revealed that under their agreement, Pacino was required to pay an upfront child support sum of $110,000, alongside monthly payments of at least $30,000 depending on income, and $15,000 annually into an education fund.

High-Profile Romances and Marriage Views
Before her relationship with Pacino, Alfallah gained public attention at age 22 when she dated 74-year-old Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger. Speaking about their significant age gap, Alfallah previously stated that the difference in years "didn't matter to me."
Pacino has also been involved in a series of high-profile relationships with Hollywood figures over the decades, including actresses Diane Keaton, Tuesday Weld, Jill Clayburgh, and model Veruschka, though he never married.

In his 2024 memoir Sonny Boy, Pacino reflected on his lifelong decision to avoid matrimony. "I always shied away from marriage. I guess I didn't see how it would help anything," Pacino wrote, adding that he wanted to avoid "what I thought, at the time, was the inevitable: an entrance to the pain train."
