Jamie Oliver has said he is the "happiest" he has ever been at 51, crediting his wife Jools for helping him become "the best version of myself."
The chef gave a rare insight into his marriage with Jools, also 51, on The Romesh Ranganathan Show.
"I want to try and be the best version of myself. My wife's been amazing. She's like my best teacher at the moment," he said.
"I've got to know her more in the last two years. Well, I've been going out with her since I was 18, so that's interesting. Like, how is that... how is that possible?"
"But like I feel like I'm just finally getting to know her properly, which is quite exciting," he added. "She's a bit like Yoda. She's very wise. Absolutely tiny. She's so tall. Oh my god. My wife's legs are so long. They're like literally miles!"

Jamie went on to say: "I've never loved my wife more than now and I'm so proud of my kids and then like my team at work I'm so grateful for."

A throwback from Crete
Earlier this month, Jamie shared a throwback photo of himself and Jools on their first holiday together in Crete, posted on social media on a Sunday.
The TV chef and the midwife joked that "we haven't changed one bit" alongside the picture from their youth, which showed a young Jamie with long blond hair wearing a matching baseball cap with Jools.
He captioned the post: "Throwback! Look at this photo of @joolsoliver and me on our very first holiday together all those years ago in Crete on Peninsula Spinalogkas... We haven't changed a bit, right?"

How Jamie and Jools met
Jamie Oliver is the British chef and restaurateur best known for launching his television career with The Naked Chef and for his campaigning work on school meals and healthy eating. Jools Oliver trained as a midwife before becoming an author and designer.
The couple met in 1992 on a double date arranged with Jamie's friend Jimmy Doherty, who went on to become a TV presenter himself. At the time, Jools, then 17, relocated to Tokyo for three months for work, and Jamie wrote her love letters every day to keep their romance alive.
They married in 2000 and have five children together: Poppy Honey Rose, 24, Daisy Boo Pamela, 23, Petal Blossom Rainbow, 17, Buddy Bear Maurice, 15, and River Rocket Blue Dallas, nine.
