Jayden James, the 19-year-old son of pop star Britney Spears, attended a MAC Cosmetics event earlier this week wearing a black leather jacket over a black T-shirt, wide-legged jeans and black loafers.
The budding model attended the party on Wednesday in an edgy look. He mixed with several notable guests at the event, including model Gabbriette, who recently married Taylor Swift's ex-boyfriend Matt Healy, and rapper JT.
Internet personality Ashtin Earle, sister to TikTok star Alix Earle, was also present alongside Travis Barker's son Landon Barker.
The public outing follows statements made by Spears on X last week, where the singer wrote that she felt she had failed as a mother. Spears likened herself to an angel and expressed a desire to confess her shortcomings after one of her sons told her he did not believe in God.
"My son told me last week it was all science he didn't personally believe in God … in that moment I believed I had failed as a mother because I know there is a Holy Spirit that sits high in the kingdom of heaven," Spears wrote, adding that she has "been there" and "felt it."
"I wanna tell my kids and people in general that I'm sorry for my mistakes in the past," she added, sharing an old photograph of her sons Sean, 20, and Jayden running along a beach as toddlers.
Spears Family Dynamics and Conservatorship History
In her post, Spears also targeted her estranged parents, Jamie Spears and Lynne Spears. She claimed she learned five years ago that her parents had secretly taken her sons to the beach every weekend during a summer without her knowledge or consent.
"The pictures I saw of my mom and dad in secret on the beach the whole summer with my children every weekend … I wondered why I wasn't a part of their cool secret outings," Spears wrote.
"I felt demoralized to live in a country where it was accepted for people like my mom and dad to live secret lives with my children … It was demoralizing," she wrote, stating that she went to her knees and cried for two months.
Spears filed for divorce from her sons' father, Kevin Federline, in November 2006, eight weeks after giving birth to their second child. In February 2008, following public mental health crises, hospitalizations, and intense media scrutiny, Spears was placed under a court-ordered conservatorship largely controlled by her father.
The conservatorship lasted 13 years and ended in November 2021 following public pressure from the #FreeBritney movement, the suspension of Jamie Spears as conservator, and court testimony from Spears describing abuse under her father's control.
Runway Debut and Career Support
Despite her feelings regarding her parents, Spears has shown support for her sons as they pursue careers in modeling. Jayden and Sean made their official runway debut together in June at Paris Fashion Week, walking in the Vetements Spring/Summer 2027 menswear show.
In May, Jayden also attended the Dior 2027 Cruise collection fashion show held at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Both Jayden and Sean have recently begun using their first and middle names publicly, dropping Federline in what appears to be a professional and social media adjustment rather than a formal legal change.
Although Spears did not attend the Paris runway show, Jayden revealed in an interview with Vogue that his mother was supportive and attentive ahead of the event.
"She was just looking out for us and making sure that this was what we wanted to do," Jayden told Vogue, noting that she was "so nervous for us." He added: "She sent us flowers to our hotel as a good luck thing, and called and texted us so many times. It was good to have that and to carry that with us before we went out there."
