Greek actress Jenny Theona and composer Dimos Anastasiadis have baptised their two sons, Arionas and Apollon, in a family ceremony that came to light through photographs and Instagram Stories shared by actor Antinoos Albanis.
Albanis, who has worked professionally with Theona, posted images from the christening on his personal Instagram account, also revealing the names of the two boys for the first time.
The couple's older son is Arionas, while their younger son, born in October 2025, is named Apollon.
Among the pictures Albanis shared was a black-and-white photograph of a card reading, in translation, "from today we are a family."
The post led to speculation that Albanis may have served as one of the boys' godparents, though this has not been confirmed by the family.
From meeting to family
Theona and Anastasiadis first met in 2014, when their professional paths crossed on a theatre production. She was appearing in the show while he was responsible for the musical arrangement.
Theona has described their meeting as an instant, powerful attraction. Over the years, she has also spoken about the disagreements they had to work through, as well as the particular dynamic their relationship developed over time.
Their first son, Arionas, was born in April 2019. His name combines the names of his two grandfathers, Aris and Ioannis.
The couple did not see marriage as essential to the commitment they wanted with each other. They had originally planned both a wedding and a baptism, but the pandemic disrupted those plans. They later chose to formalise their relationship through a civil partnership agreement instead.
Second son and 11 years together
The family grew with the arrival of a second son in October 2025, when Theona gave birth to Apollon.
Shortly afterwards, Anastasiadis spoke about the couple's journey together, referring to the effort the relationship had required over the years. He said that, in the sense that they were still together 11 years on, they had tried and had not given up.
In a separate interview, he also discussed financial difficulties the couple faced at various points, revealing there were times when both of them were out of work and without money.
