Actors Jesse Williams and Alejandra Onieva have welcomed a baby boy named Hector in the United States following their secret wedding in Chicago.
The couple welcomed their newborn about two weeks ago and have spent the following fortnight adjusting to life as new parents. Williams is already a father to two older children, Sadie and Maceo, from his previous marriage to Aryn Drake-Lee.
Carolina Molas, the baby's maternal grandmother, traveled from Spain to the United States to assist her daughter and son-in-law during the initial weeks of caring for the newborn.
A chaotic home video from inside the fridge
Although the couple had maintained strict privacy surrounding their relationship and the birth of their baby, Williams shared a lighthearted video on social media showcasing their first days at home.
Filmed from inside an open refrigerator, the video shows a shelf filled with baby bottles while the actor searches for food. In the background, Onieva and her mother can be heard arguing in Spanish over how much onion to put into a potato omelette they were cooking.
Molas interrupted the culinary debate to demand when her grandson would be visiting Madrid, jokingly calling the couple scoundrels for keeping him in America.
Cultural clash and name revelation
Williams, unable to follow the rapid Spanish exchange, asked them to switch to English. He told them that all his children speak English and remarked that he already had enough to process with his son being named Hector.
The exchange publicly confirmed the Spanish name chosen for the newborn. Hector will grow up bridging two languages, cultures, and families located on opposite sides of the Atlantic Ocean.
Along with the video snippet, Williams published several photos documenting the household, concluding with a picture of the finished potato omelette prepared by his wife and mother-in-law.

Williams is widely known for his long-running role as Dr. Jackson Avery on the American television drama series Grey's Anatomy. Onieva is a Spanish actress who has starred in television productions including High Seas and El secreto de Puente Viejo.
While Molas is currently providing hands-on support in the United States, the rest of the baby's maternal family remains in Spain. Hector's maternal aunt Tamara Falco, the Marchioness of Grinon, and his uncle Inigo Onieva are among the relatives eager to meet him.
