Jonathan Ross has revealed that his wife, screenwriter Jane Goldman, planned the lavish wedding of their son Harvey at London's Kew Gardens.

Harvey, 32, the only son of the broadcaster, 65, and Goldman, 56, married photographer and producer Muna earlier this month, more than a year after their engagement was first revealed. The couple exchanged vows in the Nash Conservatory at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, before continuing celebrations at the venue's Grade I-listed Orangery.

Ross discussed the wedding on his podcast, Reel Talk, which he hosts with his daughter Honey, 29, who was a bridesmaid at the ceremony. "It was a lovely day, I don't think we should talk about it too much because there is a degree of privacy they would like to maintain," he said. "But it was a lovely day and everyone enjoyed it, it was a fun wedding and it more or less went hitch free thanks mainly to your mother."

Honey replied: "Oh my god what a woman, she ran that wedding with a firm but gentle fist and we couldn't love her more. It was a lovely day and we won't go too much into it but it was nice to have a wedding, I do love a wedding."

Ross said he was less enthusiastic about weddings in general. "I don't love a wedding but I'm happy to go to immediate family wedding," he said. "I find weddings, it's nice to see people you care about happy but you got to get dressed up and stand around a lot, there was a lot of standing around. Your mother and I being slightly older it took us two days to recover, just our feet."

Honey added that she was "still tired" from the day, saying: "It really wipes you out especially when you're in the wedding party because you are on the job all day, but I loved it."

Inside the wedding day

The wedding took place on September 4, with guests sharing glimpses of the ceremony and evening celebrations on Instagram. Honey, who brought her boyfriend, video producer Gav Murphy, 40, as her date, posted a video of the bride and bridesmaids posing for photos, captioning it "Best day ever."

Muna wore a strapless white wedding gown with a fitted bodice and full skirt, a long veil and a bouquet of deep red, burgundy and purple flowers. Her bridal party wore floor-length dresses in shades of red and burgundy and carried dark calla lilies, echoing the ceremony's arch of deep red and purple flowers and greenery.

Honey wore a dark red dress with ribbon shoulder straps and later became one of the most enthusiastic guests when Muna threw her bouquet. "We were incredibly chill about catching the bouquet actually," she joked on Instagram, before sharing another clip from the dance floor captioned "No big deal actually!!!"

Now Jonathan has opened up about his rarely seen son's nuptials on his podcast Reel Talk with daughter Honey, 29, who was a bridesmaid on the big day

A photo-booth strip Honey shared showed her posing with Murphy during the reception, stamped "MUNA & HARVEY" and dated 04-09-2026. The evening reception was decorated with floral garlands around the venue's large windows as guests gathered on the dance floor.

Kew Gardens wedding package

Kew's Classic Wedding package costs £12,500 plus VAT, a total of £15,000, and allows up to 200 guests to marry in the Nash Conservatory, hold drinks in the Princess of Wales Conservatory or on the Sir Joseph Banks Lawn, then dine and dance in the Orangery until midnight. The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in south-west London known for its glasshouses and plant collections.

Hen do and wedding planning

The wedding came weeks after Muna celebrated her hen do in Portugal with Honey and a group of friends, wearing a floor-length black dress and white bridal veil for the trip. Honey said she had been heavily involved in organising the celebrations, joking on Reel Talk that the planning had "gone through the roof" and that navigating the bridal group chat had proved unexpectedly stressful. "I wouldn't wish a bridal group chat on my worst enemy," she said.

Harvey and Muna's relationship

Harvey and Muna have been together since at least 2018, when Ross first shared a photo of the pair together. Muna later appeared alongside the Ross family on Celebrity Gogglebox in 2021 and works as a photographer and producer, sharing her photography under the name Fadu Photos.

Ross publicly confirmed his son's engagement in April 2025 during an appearance on Jessie and Lennie Ware's podcast Table Manners, after Honey announced: "He did just get engaged!" The broadcaster said at the time that the couple were also thinking about their future together, adding that "they're thinking of starting a family next year."

Harvey's rare public appearances

Despite being born into one of Britain's best-known showbusiness families, Harvey has generally stayed out of the public eye. He made a rare appearance alongside Muna and his parents at the opening gala for Death Note: The Musical at London's Barbican Theatre last month, shortly before the wedding.

Harvey has worked in the video games industry and was credited as a programmer on the 2019 adventure title The Bradwell Conspiracy, which also featured his father as a voice actor.
