Kaia Gerber Says She Had Childhood Exorcism With Didgeridoo

Model Kaia Gerber has revealed she underwent a childhood exorcism involving an Australian didgeridoo after claiming she was haunted by evil spirits and attracted entities from other dimensions.

The 24-year-old daughter of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber disclosed the spiritual ritual during an interview on The Mitch Churi Chat Show. She revealed that her mother was so concerned about supernatural forces that she also provided her with holy water to take onto acting sets.

Gerber stated she had been haunted her whole life and believed she attracted beings from other dimensions in a casual and chill way before her family sought help. She recalled that practitioners played a didgeridoo, an ancient wind instrument developed by Indigenous Australians that is not typically associated with exorcisms, all over her body during the cleansing process, adding that she has since fully healed.

Kaia Gerber has revealed she 'charges' crystals by moonlight, is 'very into' breathing and writes 'non human' fan fiction (pictured with seashells which are also said to carry unique energetic and healing properties, much like crystals)

Spirituality and Holy Water on Set

Speaking on the radio show, Gerber explained that her mother took extra precautions to protect her while she worked in the entertainment industry. When Gerber was filming the television series American Horror Story: Double Feature, Crawford insisted that her daughter carry holy water with her throughout production.

Gerber recalled that her mother explicitly warned her about supernatural risks on set, telling her, "I don't want you to get possessed." Gerber noted that she was told she was possessed as a child, revealing details of the didgeridoo ritual for the first time by saying, "Do you know how they did the exorcism? They played a didgeridoo all over me! That's how they did the exorcism." She added, "That actually did happen. I've never talked about it, but it actually did happen. I'm all healed."

Moonlight Crystals and Morning Routines

Beyond her childhood experiences with exorcisms, Gerber detailed how she relies on alternative medicine practices, including crystal healing and energy balancing, to maintain her health and reduce stress. She explained that she uses crystals to protect herself from negative energy fields in her daily life.

Kaia raised eyebrows last week when she claimed that she had been possessed as a child and her model mother Cindy Crawford had to order an exorcism

Gerber revealed that her collection includes roughly a million crystals spread throughout her bedroom. To keep the stones operating at full strength, she places them outside in the moonlight to charge their energetic properties, particularly during full moons. "I'm very into crystals - I have like a million of them all over my bedroom - and I 'charge' them out in the moonlight, especially during a full moon," Gerber said. "I'm a weirdo like that."

In a separate chat with Glamour, Gerber explained that her favorite crystal is rose quartz, a pink gemstone popular in holistic therapy and Feng Shui, an ancient practice focused on harmonizing energy within living spaces. "I'll lay with them on me or place them in different areas," Gerber shared. "I am very into Feng Shui and things like that. It's probably not the most normal thing to witness, but I guess it's not so far out. My favourite crystal that I really love is rose quartz. I just think it's one that everyone should have and it just brings in a lot of really good energy and that's just one that I like to have all over."

Gerber also explained that the Covid lockdowns in 2021 permanently transformed her morning schedule, prompting her to avoid rushing and dedicate substantial time to personal reflection each day. "I like to write in the mornings and usually write a few pages," Gerber explained. "I like to meditate and say a prayer. I think mindful moments like that have really become a huge part of my morning routine."

Breathing Techniques and Anonymous Writing

Breathing techniques form another core element of Gerber's daily wellness regimen. Speaking to British Vogue, she highlighted her use of the 4-7-8 breathing method, which involves breathing in for four counts, holding for seven, and exhaling for eight. "I do 4-7-8 breathing, which I think is incredible, and really calms me down," Gerber told British Vogue.

Gerber added that she regularly practices guided meditation sessions, telling British Vogue, "And then guided meditations. I think anything that works for you is incredible - I'm someone who likes to try everything."

Beyond her wellness habits, Gerber revealed on Jake Shane's Therapuss podcast that she maintains a personal writing hobby crafting fan fiction. "It's so fun to write something even if you don't put it - like, I write fan fiction and I don't put it anywhere, I just like it," Gerber explained on the podcast.

When pressed about the subjects of her private fan fiction stories, Gerber declined to give specific names but offered a single detail about her writing. "It's not a human. There you go, next question," Gerber confessed.

Interfaith Upbringing and Family Background

Gerber was raised in an interfaith family in Los Angeles alongside her elder brother, 27-year-old Presley Gerber. Her father, Rande Gerber, an entertainment businessman who co-founded Casamigos tequila, is Jewish, while her mother, Cindy Crawford, one of the most famous fashion supermodels of the 1990s, is Christian.

Reflecting on her upbringing, Gerber explained that her parents celebrated both religious traditions throughout her childhood. "My dad is Jewish and my mom is Christian, so we grew up doing both; we call Christmas Chrismukkah," Gerber stated, adding, "I love learning about both of those sides of my life. We'd do Passover, Passover dinner and Yom Kippur. I love learning all of that - and learning the cooking."
