Katie Price reveals black eye from filler before NTAs

Katie Price has revealed the full extent of a dramatic black eye after receiving forehead filler just one day before attending the National Television Awards.

The former glamour model, 48, shocked fans with a heavy makeup look as she turned heads on the red carpet ahead of the ceremony on Tuesday evening. She arrived at the event having undergone cosmetic procedures to her face and chest less than 24 hours earlier.

Price initially achieved national prominence in the United Kingdom during the late 1990s as a glamour model before building a career across reality television, book publishing, and business. The annual National Television Awards, held in London, represent one of the most prominent ceremonies on the British television calendar, honoring popular programs and broadcast personalities.

In an Instagram video posted the day after the event by makeup artist Mitchell Halliday, Price displayed her unvarnished face to reveal the severe bruising around her eye. She explained that a dramatic cosmetics application was required to conceal the discolouration before walking the red carpet.

Makeup transformation for red carpet

Speaking directly to the camera without makeup, Price described the challenge facing her beauty team. "He's [Mitchell] got his work cut out because yesterday I decided to have filler put in my temples," she said. "I had no idea of the swelling, and today it is the NTAs red carpet. He's got to work extra hard to transform this."

Halliday subsequently demonstrated a step-by-step video tutorial detailing how he managed to conceal the bruising across Price's face. He utilised items from his own cosmetics brand, Made by Mitchell, to neutralize the dark discolouration and rebuild her complex skin tone for the cameras.

The makeup artist explained that the inspiration behind the cosmetic styling came from a large pair of sunglasses. He added that the team aimed to create visual drama across her face by combining bold black eyeliner with strategic highlighting techniques.

Red carpet outfit and marriage breakup

The ceremony marked Price's first public appearance since she reportedly ended her marriage to Lee Andrews over a text message. She had contacted a divorce attorney to initiate legal proceedings to end their whirlwind relationship.

The split emerged last week following disclosures that Price discovered Andrews, 43, possessed just £2.22 in his bank account despite previously claiming to be a millionaire. In her final WhatsApp message sent to Andrews, Price reportedly wrote: "I have been played and you are not who you say you are. Why have you lied to me?"

To cover up her new breast implants at the awards, Price wore a long-sleeved white shirt paired with nude and black lace hot pants and black tights. She styled her ensemble with black high heels, gelled her hair back into a wet-look finish, and wore large diamond earrings designed by Valentino.

Dermal fillers are non-surgical cosmetic treatments injected beneath the skin to add volume, smooth lines, or restore facial structure. Medical specialists note that side effects such as swelling, tenderness, and localized bruising around injection sites near delicate tissue like the temples are common following administration.

Daughter Princess joins awards ceremony

Price was accompanied on the red carpet by her 19-year-old daughter, Princess. The teenager provided a stark contrast to her mother's outfit, wearing a sparkling blue ballgown with her blonde hair styled in loose curls for the evening.

Earlier on Tuesday, Price had displayed her facial bruising and enlarged breast implants online just hours after landing back in the United Kingdom from Brussels, Belgium, where she underwent cosmetic operations.

Cosmetic procedures in Brussels

Despite walking the red carpet with bandaged breasts and a swollen eye, Price documented the surgical outcome for her social media followers. She explained that she had traveled overseas specifically to correct an asymmetry in her chest.

Addressing the ceremony in an online clip, Price said: "So everyone it is National TV Awards. What did Price do yesterday? So, I went to Brussels because one of my boobs was still slightly bigger than the other. So, they put a new implant in and while they were there, I said, 'Oh, go on, just put a bit more in both of them.'"

Price, who has undergone approximately 17 breast augmentation surgeries throughout her life and increased her cup size earlier in the summer, revealed that surgeons also placed dermal filler into her facial structure while she was under anaesthetic.

She explained that the facial procedure had resulted in unexpected swelling. "Where my face was hollow here as you get older and lose weight, he put filler in for me, obviously while I was asleep," Price said. "He does it under the muscle right into the bone. I've woken up this morning, I didn't have anything put here, nothing, but I think the swelling has dropped so I look like a hamster and it's sore."

Documentary and extensive surgery history

Price attended the television awards following the broadcast of a four-part television documentary on Sky titled Katie Price: Nothing To Hide. The project examined her three decades of working within the British media and public eye.

Her appearance also followed a guest spot last month on the ITV series Price Of Perfection, hosted by broadcaster Olivia Attwood. During the broadcast, Price discussed her extensive history of aesthetic operations, which includes six facelifts, 17 breast procedures, cosmetic dentistry, and a fox-eye procedure.

Although Price estimated that she has undergone between 30 and 40 surgical operations in total, she noted that she has only paid a fraction of the full monetary cost due to complimentary treatments offered by clinics in exchange for publicity. However, she maintained during the interview that she possessed the financial means to pay out of pocket if required.

When asked by Attwood how many surgeries she had undergone, Price answered: "Oh my god, that's really hard. Maybe about 30 or 40? I must have done." Attwood then asked if her operations were a mix of paid and promotional treatments. Price stated: "I've probably paid £40,000 all in." When Attwood expressed surprise at the figure, asking "In total? Is that it?", Price responded: "I could pay for it if I wanted to get it done."
