Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock has shared a dark brown bikini selfie on Instagram as her due date approaches in her third trimester.
The 34-year-old singer told her followers that her emotions and hormones are all over the place as she prepares to expand her family with her husband, footballer Andre Gray.
Posting the mirror selfie on Thursday in dark brown swimwear, Pinnock displayed her blossoming baby bump and reflected on how quickly the pregnancy has progressed.
Writing on Instagram, Pinnock wrote that her pregnancy was in its "third trimester already" and moving "super quick it's scary." She added: "Emotions and hormones are all over the place and on top of that the grind doesn't stop."
Pinnock expressed her excitement about entering their baby bubble and meeting their new child. "We're just so excited to meet this lil bubba and go into our baby bubble! Life is about to get even more chaotic and I can't wait," she wrote.
Pinnock and Gray already share five-year-old twin daughters. The couple welcomed their twins prior to tying the knot in June 2023.
Pinnock rose to fame as a member of Little Mix, the British girl group formed during the eighth series of The X Factor in 2011. Alongside bandmates Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, and Jesy Nelson, the group became one of the most successful female acts in British pop history with chart-topping singles including Shout Out to My Ex, Black Magic, and Wings before beginning an extended hiatus in 2022.
Pregnancy announcement and bandmate reaction
Pinnock first announced her pregnancy in July through a social media video recorded while working on music in her recording studio. Accompanying the announcement, she joyfully wrote: "As one chapter ends, another begins."
Underneath the pregnancy announcement, Pinnock's former Little Mix bandmates Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards shared their excitement for the growing family. "Love you and your beautiful family," Thirlwall wrote, while Edwards commented with heart-eye emojis.
Following Little Mix's hiatus, Pinnock launched her solo career with single releases such as Don't Say Love and My Love. Both Thirlwall and Edwards have likewise launched solo music careers while remaining close supportive friends following their years together in the group.
Relationship struggles and forgiveness
Pinnock has previously opened up about relationship difficulties with Gray, whom she married in June 2023 after welcoming their twins together. Speaking to singer Paloma Faith on her Mad, Sad and Bad podcast, Pinnock recalled going through a weird time with her husband involving a loss of trust and betrayal.
Reflecting on the experience, Pinnock said: "I went through a bit of a weird time with my husband actually and I think that sort of not being totally honest and losing trust and that kind of betrayal."
She added: "I think like heartbreak is wild, like it's awful and especially someone that you're so madly in love with and that they can hurt you."
Pinnock explained that Gray realized he was being selfish after moving abroad to Greece to play football for Aris Thessaloniki. Gray is a professional striker who built his career playing for English clubs including Brentford, Burnley, and Watford before moving to Greece and representing the Jamaica national football team internationally.
According to Pinnock, Gray sought therapy and used his time abroad to reflect on how to make a relationship work. "He went to therapy and I think for us what really helped for us, he started playing abroad and he had more time to himself to kind of look and realise that everything that he was doing was not how you make a relationship work, it's not. It's selfish," she said.
Pinnock explained that Gray went out of his way to change for her, leading her to learn the power of forgiveness. "Well, I think that person has to want to change and he did. And I think you can go through things in a relationship but if they aren't willing to change for you, forget it," she stated.
Addressing why she chose to stay with Gray, Pinnock acknowledged that some people might view giving another chance as a weakness. "Some people might say, oh well why are you still with them? Or why are you still giving them another chance? I guess that can be seen as a weakness and not putting yourself first but I think only you know what is truly right for you," she explained.
Pinnock concluded that the couple worked through their struggles and have reached a really beautiful place in their marriage as they look forward to expanding their family.
