Brazilian influencer Letícia Cazarré has shared a health update regarding her four-year-old daughter, Maria Guilhermina, who remains in hospital receiving ventilatory support.

The 39-year-old posted the message to social media on Monday, detailing the condition of the child she shares with 45-year-old actor Juliano Cazarré. She wrote that while the young girl is showing improvement, she continues to need ventilatory support and is suffering from pancreatitis caused by sepsis.

Letícia explained that the pancreatitis must improve before the four-year-old can resume eating properly and be discharged to return home. Urging the public to remain supportive, she asked people to keep praying for her daughter during her treatment.

The influencer also revealed that she has been spending extensive periods at the hospital during the admission. She stated that she has spent hours at her daughter's bedside reading books and making plans for the future.

Hospital stay and medical complications

The hospitalization began one week earlier after Maria Guilhermina developed gastroenteritis. Juliano Cazarré explained at the time that because their daughter has low immunity, the illness had likely affected other organs.

Maria Guilhermina was born with a rare congenital heart condition known as Ebstein's anomaly and continues to live with complications from the defect. The condition is a rare cardiac malformation in which the tricuspid valve does not develop correctly, causing blood to leak backward within the heart.

Sepsis and pancreatitis risks

Sepsis occurs when the body produces an extreme and life-threatening reaction to an infection, triggering widespread inflammation that can impair vital organs. In this case, the infection led to pancreatitis, an inflammation of the pancreas that interferes with digestive function and prevents patients from eating food normally.

Juliano Cazarré is an established Brazilian actor known for his roles in major television dramas and feature films. For now, the parents remain at the hospital with Maria Guilhermina as they wait for her respiratory and digestive health to stabilize.
