How to assemble the cot and the bathroom set

To the room

children's bedding

• 1 changing table with blanket;

• 3 sets of sheets for the cot (prefer 100% cotton and very soft kits, which include an elastic sheet);

• 2 blankets and 2 soft blankets (in the first year of the baby’s life, blankets and blankets should never be used at night, while sleeping, warns the American Academy of Pediatrics – AAP, its acronym in English. “Items can be used only with parental supervision at home or on walks, due to the risk of suffocation”, advises Kelly. For this, choose fabrics that are both warmer and cooler, to enjoy different temperatures and environments);

• 1 sleeping bag (to sleep at night, prefer a sleeping bag or a few extra layers of clothing, for safety);

• 1 waterproof mattress cover (will protect from leaking pee, poop or vomit);

• 15 mouth wipes;

• 20 cloth diapers for continuous use (keep in mind that a newborn changes his diaper, on average, 8 times a day. «It would be a number of diapers indicated for continuous use, i.e. to contain pee and poo», explains Kelly );

• 3 pillowcases;

3 pillows (according to AAP indications, up to 12 months, it is not recommended for the child to sleep with a pillow. “They should only be purchased after the first year, if indicated by the paediatrician”, completes the specialist);

• Stroller mattresses and covers may be comfortable and easy to clean, but they are not essential.
