Ingredients:

  • 700 g of beef or chicken breast
  • 1 tablespoon of warm water
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon of oil
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1 tablespoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon(s) of turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon(s) of sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) of black pepper
  • 4 pita bread
  • 20 cherry tomatoes
  • 1 lettuce
  • 1 cucumber
  • 2 red onions
  • salt to taste

Method of preparation:

  1. First, dissolve the cumin, garlic powder, turmeric, sugar, salt and black pepper in warm water.
  2. Cut the meat of your choice into thin strips and drizzle with lemon juice.
  3. Mix the meat with the spices, cover with plastic wrap and leave to marinate for 24 hours.
  4. To start the preparation, wash the lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes and onions very well and cut everything into thin slices.
  5. Then, in a non-stick pan, cook the meat with the oil without the sauce in which you marinated it.
  6. Divide the buns in half and place them in a skillet (with the inside side down) until puffy.
  7. To assemble, place the previously prepared salad, meat and garlic sauce into one of the bread halves and roll up.
