Right at the entrance, the brises on the facade open and close. “The idea was to design a solution that would allow you to look out, to see the garden, or that could also be closed, like our body, our eyes,” explains Bruno.
There is also sculpture The boy beyond the looking glassby the sculptor and architect Samuel Angelo, an invitation to travel through childhood memories. “Since the idea was to conceive an emotional and nostalgic cuisine, with rustic and Brazilian elements, we chose a sculpture of a child playing with golden marbles, precisely to immerse the visitor in his own memories from the moment he enters the ‘environment” , comments Bruno .
The kitchen is characterized by a shade of antique pink, which gives joy and relaxation to the furnishings. Furthermore, the design and distribution of the joinery and its niches are effective in their purpose of facilitating the act of cooking, as well as welcoming the resident and his guests.
“One of our main concerns was to make nature present in multiple points of the project, from the transparency between the brises, which allows you to view the landscape outside, to the spice niche on the counter and the plants on the upper shelf,” says the professional.
At the center of the project, the 4.4 m long bench, with a cantilevered part and two types of finishes (flame and honed) on the top Itaúnas white granite, reminiscent of stone in its rough state. It houses the hob and is supported by the sturdy hood. “We have chosen not to use chemical components that are harmful to health, as happens with industrialized stones”, says the architect.
With the same premise of sustainability, all the metal structure used for the project will be reused after the exhibition period.
With a carpentry that recovers the Provençal revisited (slight grooves replace upholstered doors and drawers), the kitchen has a dresser which welcomes the entire repertoire of wines. Other accessories that make up the furniture are the ceramic utensils, clay pieces from the artisan communities of Minas Gerais, such as the city of Monte Azul, photographs and collectibles which mix with ferns and other plants with genuine national essence.
With exclusive pieces of Bruno Faucz AND Taddeo Paisànothe architect blends brazilian design with his multifaceted look, fruit of his professionalism and his recent visit to Milan Design Weekdisplaying a beautiful vase that I brought directly from there, signed by Suka Braga.
Even the ambient lighting is strategic, combining led profiles, AR70 No Frame, superimposed and suspended spotlights, where the most important thing is not the lighting fixtures, but the luminous effect. In the more functional area, dedicated to food preparation, a colder solution was chosen and, around the dining table, warm lights make the environment welcoming and intimate.
“We brought the photographer’s work Roger Fernandes with images of indigenous tribes living in nature, the great home of all. In addition to saving our country’s origins, exposed clicks constitute a gallery wall and fit into the Body and Home theme, as they manifest the fullest harmony of the human being with his habitat”, sums up the architect.
In an organic format, the wooden dining table, accompanied by six seating positions, is an extension of the kitchen and an opportunity to always renew the experience in the space.
