Footballer Lionel Messi has opened the sixth hotel of his luxury chain in Europe. Located on Spain’s Costa del Sol, the boutique hotel promises spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea with rates that can reach US$855 (R$4,400 at current prices) on the most expensive suite.
The hotel is located in Marina de Sotogrande in the Andalusia region on the Spanish coast. Launched in February, the development has recently had a surge in advertising for the peak season. Allied to the strong heat hitting Europe and the northern hemisphere, the hotel has full rooms until September.
The hotel has 43 suites, most with views of the Mediterranean Sea and the country of Morocco, and is close to golf courses, as well as offering polo and sailing tours, according to the company’s website.
