You also need to know how to wash properly.
Classic washcloths made of natural fibers are a great accessory for the bath. They massage the skin well and remove dead cells. But many of us use them incorrectly. The thing is, bacteria can accumulate in such washcloths. Therefore, immediately after showering, the washcloth should be thoroughly rinsed and allowed to dry.
Here are some of the most common mistakes we make while taking a bath.
- We use too hot water. This damages the skin, dries it out or, in the worst case, can even lead to burns or poor circulation. The optimum water temperature is 38 degrees Celsius.
- We’ve been in the water too long. Any bodily contact with water is a test for the skin. If you take a bath for too long, the natural protective film is destroyed and the skin dries out. The optimal duration of the bath is 10-20 minutes.
- We swim on a full stomach. A bath after a romantic dinner? It’s not a good idea. The fact is that at this time the body is already busy digesting food, and the heat can only become an additional burden on the organs.
- We use wet towels. Washcloths are another breeding ground for bacteria, so if the towel is already wet, for example after drying your hands, you don’t need to use it. In addition, it is recommended to change the bath towel at least once every three days.
