Singer Regis Danese is hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the Uberlândia Medical Central (UMC) hospital, in Minas Gerais, after being transferred from the state emergency hospital Governador Otávio Lage de Siqueira (Hugol).
“He has been transferred to Uberlândia, he is fine, but he is still in intensive care. He should return to his room soon, but he is still monitored,” Daniel Danese, the singer’s brother, told gshow.
The gospel singer was involved in a serious car accident on the 30th in Goiás: the musician suffered several fractures and perforated his intestine. The last operation, in fact, consisted of correcting the perforation.

• What happened to the gospel singer: Regis Danese was driving his car along the BR-153, in Jaraguá, when he crashed into a truck, on the night of Wednesday 30th. According to the Federal Traffic Police (PRF), the singer’s car entered the oncoming lane at the end of a curve.
• The one Regis Danese had: The singer broke three ribs, his chest and his wrist. He was admitted to the intensive care unit of the Governador Otávio Lage de Siqueira (Hugol) emergency hospital in serious condition, but was breathing spontaneously. An exploratory laparotomy found a punctate tear in the small intestine, requiring enterorrhaphy (wound stitching).
• Did anyone die in the accident? Everybody is fine. The singer was with his brother Daniel Danese, who was not injured. The driver of the truck was also uninjured. Regis Danese was the only one injured.
• What Regis Danese said about the incident: In an interview with local TV Globo, he said he is fine. “It was God who held me, because he has a purpose in my life […] God bless the lives of each of you who worried and prayed”, he reassured.
