It has become a tradition for couples to host a reveal tea to find out the gender of the baby they are expecting. However, North American Amanda Back ended up interfering and ruining her own surprise.
Together with her husband and eldest daughter, she ordered a cake to find out whether the couple’s second child would be a boy or a girl. A sign above the cake asked what the sex of the baby was.
Before cutting the cake, Amanda Back removed the plaque and ended up revealing the sex of the baby, as the color came out of the skewer and it was even possible to see it through the little hole in the cake. The American woman’s husband was amazed.
It took the woman some time to understand her husband’s reaction. Then, she started laughing awkwardly. Their eldest daughter didn’t seem to realize what had happened. They followed through with the original idea and found out they would become parents to another girl.
‘I can blame the brain for pregnancy, right? Because I really don’t know what I was thinking, but at least we’ll have a good laugh forever,” Amanda joked while sharing the video.
