How to lose weight on Banana Day
“Like other fruits, bananas can be part of a weight loss strategy. It is a fruit rich in tryptophan, an amino acid essential for the production of serotonin, the happiness hormone. It is a fruit that generates satiety, as well as combining good in sweet recipes, which facilitate adherence to the food plan. Generally it adapts well in the pre-workout period because it provides a good supply of energy”, says the nutritionist in an exclusive interview with Sport Life Beatriz Finizola.
In this sense we can eat the fruit every day thanks to its supply of potassium, an important nutrient also for muscle contraction. Likewise, it is worth noting that there is no indication of the amount of daily consumption.
“If there is an aesthetic goal, you have to control the quantity. It is very useful in the mass gain phase (hypertrophy) since it has a high caloric density per serving,” adds Beatriz.
Additionally, bananas can be consumed outside of pre-workout. That is, it is a good partner for natural yogurt, sugar-free granola or even sweet pancakes made from oats, for example.
“These examples are rich in fiber and interesting for intestinal function. Adding cinnamon can be very interesting for the pre-workout period. In addition to being a delicious combination, cinnamon is a stimulating food and will provide you with more energy. If you like coffee, caffeine can be an excellent ally”, specifies Finizola.
Types of bananas

It is also known as water banana. It has a very elongated shape compared to other models and has become a favorite among consumers thanks to its sweet flavor. It has a large amount of potassium, vitamins and minerals.
Silver banana
Another model that can be used in the preparation of desserts, such as the bananada, is requested by most in the summer to be consumed fried or even blended. It takes time to ripen and is rich in vitamin C and potassium, with a lower content than nano.
