In this new season of videos from Travel by farethere will be adventure tourism in the far south of the capital of São Paulo, rural tourism in Parelheiros, trails in the Parque das Neblinas and a walk to a natural viewpoint, in the middle of the Cantareira forest.

Come and see how good São is here. I WAIT VIDEO

Sao Paulo ecotourism hub

This territory in the extreme south of the city of São Paulo occupies almost 30% of the total surface area of the capital, in the districts of Parelheiros, Marsilac and Ilha do Bororé.

One of the attractions is Selva SP, considered the city’s first and only adventure park, where you can sail on the last clean river of São Paulo, walk trails within the Atlantic Forest and fly over one of the largest remaining areas of this biome in the whole state.

Tractor tour in the heart of the capital

This tractor ride is one of the attractions of The Roça Park, a family-run farm that opened its gates in Parelheiros, in 2021, to welcome visitors to this 14-hectare rural property, in Parelheiros, in the far south of the city.

And while the nerve center of Brazil trembles not far away, a 75 horsepower red tractor calmly crosses plantations of cassava, ginger and peanuts. In this sort of microworld, alien to the chaos of the city, São Paulo continues at a different pace.

Pedra Grande trail, in Cantareira

This walk is approximately six kilometers long (round trip) and moderately difficult. Whether you go through the forest or a paved area (40 minutes), be prepared to climb the hill.

“At the end of the route we arrive at the viewpoint, the main attraction of the center. It is beautiful and has a surreal view”, guarantees the tourismologist who works in the park, Pedro Jorge de Almeida Moraes.

Neblinas Park

This is a scenic trip, just 115km from the capital São Paulo.

Inaugurated in 2004, after long work in managing the eucalyptus trees, conserving the springs and creating an environmental reserve, the park has stood out for the ecotourism activities that take place in this seven thousand hectare area.

One of the selling points is the variety of well-structured trails that visitors can walk, on routes ranging from an innocent 360 meters to 11km in length. The walks, of easy and medium difficulty, include self-guided and monitored routes.
