According to the Undersecretariat for Labor Statistics and Studies, an organization linked to the Ministry of Labor and Employment, 55% of young people between the ages of 14 and 24 are unemployed, for a total of 9.4 million people.

Among young people outside the job market, 52% are women, which highlights the difficulties faced by women in accessing vacant positions. Additionally, 66% of jobless youth are black and mixed race, highlighting persistent racial inequalities in the country.
