Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 cans milk (use empty condensed milk can to measure)
  • 2 cans of condensed milk
  • 2 egg yolks, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 can of cream
  • 2 boxes of grape flavored gelatine powder
  • 2 cups of hot water
  • 1 cup dark grapes (seedless, halved)
  • 1 cup (tea) cold water

Modpreparation:

  1. Dissolve the cornstarch in the milk, add 1 can of condensed milk, egg yolks, essence and cook over low heat, stirring constantly until it thickens.
  2. Mix half the cream and pour it into a large, round ovenproof dish
  3. Let cool
  4. In the meantime, dissolve 1 sachet of gelatine in half hot water
  5. Add the remaining condensed milk and cream, stirring until smooth.
  6. Spread into the baking dish and refrigerate for 2 hours or until solid.
  7. Spread the grapes over the candy
  8. Dissolve the other gelatine in the remaining hot water and then incorporate it into the cold water.
  9. Pour into baking tray and refrigerate for 2 hours or until set before serving.
