Visitors interact with scenes from Hawkings National Laboratory and the Upside Down, as well as sample food inspired by the Netflix series
After spanning cities across the United States, Canada and Europe, comes “Stranger Things: The Experience.” Eldorado shopping center In St. Paul on April 12th. In a space of 2,280 m², the immersive exhibition designed by Netflix and Blast Entertainment recreates iconic scenes from the series, of which the fifth and final season is in production.
The experience is divided into two parts. The first puts visitors in the shoes of the inhabitants of the city of Hawkings, who participate as guinea pigs in a sleep study at the National Laboratory and end up in the Upside Down. There, a narrative unfolds that is an alternate (and spoiler-free) version of the series’ fourth season, complete with light shows, 3D effects, interaction with actors dressed in white coats, and monster appearances.

As the story unfolds, visitors pass through different scenarios, including the Rainbow Room, and must interact by pressing buttons or positioning themselves in a certain way. This part lasts 45 minutes and, so as not to ruin the surprise, taking photos or videos is not allowed.

The cameras are shot in the second part, when visitors are free to explore a replica of the food court at Starcourt Mall, the Hawkings City shopping center. The surprise is that you can buy real food there, like sundaes from Scoops Ahoy, where Steve and Robin work, and pizzas from Surfer Boy, where Argyle is a delivery boy. There’s also a bar with Stranger Things-inspired food and drinks.

Arcade games and scenarios specifically designed for taking photos are also part of the offer, such as the living room of the Beyer house (with Christmas lights hanging) and the statue of a demogorgon. Stranger Things: Experience. A shop full of souvenirs with an 80s aesthetic completes the tour.

Since the first part of the experience contains adult language and realistic visual effects, children under the age of five are not permitted. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
