Find out how experts chose the best dulce de leche on the market, from national and international brands
Dulce de leche is a traditional Brazilian delicacy, but also belongs to Argentine and Uruguayan cuisine. Thinking about the popularity of this product in the world, Paladar decided to carry out a test with the brands most present in supermarkets, at a national and international level.
To do this, a team of judges were invited to blind test ten samples of the dessert. Among the main evaluation criteria were the balanced use of sugar, color and texture of the products.
At the end of the tasting, the experts elected the Argentine brand Havanna as champion. The criterion for the choice was that dulce de leche was considered the tastiest, well caramelized and reminiscent of the consistency of the traditional Argentine product.
