The immense plains are home to the Big Five and are the stage for the spectacular Great Migration in May
OR Serengeti National Park TO Tanzania , is one of the most incredible places in the world to observe wildlife. The park as it exists today was established in 1951, but 30 years earlier part of the area was already a reserve to protect lions from hunting.
There the animals appear in large groups and although it is difficult to see a rhino in the middle Serengetithe big five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and rhino) roam freely around the region along with hippos, hyenas and antelopes.

The savannah with solitary trees facilitates the observation of animals. All you need is binoculars to see them along the golden fields of widely spaced grass and bushes.
Every year, at the end of April, millions of wildebeest followed by zebras cross the plains. This phenomenon, called Great Migrationit occurs during the dry season, when the animals go in search of pastures and water to the north and return to the south in December.

To the Sergeants, safaris take place inside closed cars with sunroofs. There are also operators who carry out hot air balloon flights in Seronera, in the heart of the park, where there is a small museum, a picnic area and a bar.
It is possible to sleep inside the park in one of the accommodations that range from pure luxury, with swimming pools and spectacular views, to more basic accommodations, such as tents in the middle of the savannah. Check the options on the website.
