Initially, the researchers combined the results of previous surveys carried out between 1970 and 1980. The scientists thus found that those who regularly consumed more than 7 grams of olive oil per day (about half a tablespoon) had 28% less likely to die from olive oil-related diseases. to dementia compared to those who have never or rarely consumed food.
“Olive oil may exert anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective effects thanks to its high content of monounsaturated fatty acids and other compounds with antioxidant properties, such as vitamin E and polyphenols,” Finally, explains the researcher.
