Travel Capsule Suitcase: Find Out What It Is and How to Assemble It

Are you going on holiday to the sea or the mountains? Discover how a capsule suitcase helps you decide what to bring with you for your trip

With the holidays approaching, most people travel with their families. Whether it’s to the beach or the mountains, what to wear can be a bit of a question. For Rafael Flumingnam, an image and style consultant, the capsule bag can be the ideal solution.

“The concept spread in the 1980s, with theSeven easy pieces‘, where they had seven pieces to match in the suitcase. The idea has gained ground to this day, as it brings practicality, time saving and comfort to your trip,” says Rafael.

The specialist explains that there is no precise number of pieces to bring, it depends on the destination and the time. For him, everything the part must be interchangeable with the othercreating combinations without taking up much space in the capsule bag, with neutral colors, without exaggerated prints, decorations or giant logos.

“As much as people think about taking photos today, it’s a moment of leisure. The more practical the suitcase, the greater the disconnection. Typically with 12 pieces we can already put together a ‘capsule’, which should be enough for a trip of 7 to 10 days,” says Flumingnam.

Go to the beach?

Those who go to the coast during this holiday season have the beach as their obligatory route during the day and, at night, more informal outings, such as a dinner or a luau. Flumingnam emphasizes that on the beach, light fabrics are more advisable, possibly linen and cotton. It is important to understand that swimsuits can be a look.

“A bodysuit or bikini can become a look if you wear pants. Even for women, denim shorts can be an option to wear on the beach and, when it gets dark, with a blouse or a top. Even a non-transparent beach towel becomes a flowing dress,” suggests the consultant.

In the male world, practicality is what helps the most these days. “If you are not used to wearing a swimsuit, it is worth opting for quick-drying fabrics, such as tactel, which is a synthetic fiber. Bermuda shorts can serve as shorts and as an outfit for the trip, with a more casual shirt,” Rafael reinforces.

Finally, shoes cannot be missed. For women, a sandal, while for men, a basic white sneaker. If you want something lighter, for all occasions the famous Hawaiian women can save you.

Mountain Trip

Anyone who goes to the mountains should consider protection from the cold. In the luggage you can not miss the thicker fabrics, such as wool and velvet, and a third wild piece, such as an overcoat or a jacket.

“For women, a second skin can work to keep warm and bring style in different combinations. A good choice for the suitcase are thick thread tights, a black or maple leather skirt, neutral blouses such as black, navy blue, dark gray and a caramel colored coat. For the feet, full-sole boots or combat boots can be very useful,” Flumingnam advises.

Already one padded vestlong-sleeved knitwear and dark or corduroy jeans are interesting options for men. As for footwear, a Chelsea boot, combat boots or working boot.
