Buttery guava biscuit
Time: 20 minutes (+30 minutes rest)

Ingredients:
- 3 cups (tea) of wheat flour
- 1/2 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon of chemical yeast
- 1 cup (tea) whey-free cream
- 2 tablespoons butter at room temperature
- 2 egg yolks
- 3 tablespoons of sugar
- 1/2 tablespoon vanilla
- 2 cups guava paste, cut into 3cm long sticks
- Wheat flour for dusting
- Margarine and wheat flour for greasing
- Crystalline sugar and icing sugar to taste for sprinkling
Preparation method:
- Place the sifted flour in a bowl and mix it with the salt and yeast.
- Make a well in the center and add the cream, butter, egg yolks, sugar and vanilla.
- Knead well and form a ball.
- Place in a plastic bag and leave to rest for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
- Roll it out on a floured surface and then cut it into 4cm squares.
- Place a piece of guava paste in the center of each square of pastry and close by joining the two opposite ends to form a parcel.
- Spread onto a greased and floured baking tray.
- Sprinkle with crystal sugar and bake in a preheated medium oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Sprinkle with icing sugar as soon as you remove it from the oven and serve immediately.
