Ingredients:

  • 4 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup and 1/2 cup (tea) milk
  • 1 tablespoon of beer without ice
  • 1 1/2 cups (tea) sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups (tea) wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon of yeast
  • 1 cup white raisins
  • 1/2 cup candied fruit
  • 1/2 cup chopped chestnuts
  • Margarine and wheat flour for greasing
  • 1 tablespoon icing sugar for dusting

Preparation method:

  1. In a mixer, beat the eggs, butter, milk, beer, sugar, flour and yeast and beat until smooth.
  2. Add the raisins, candied fruit and chestnuts, mix delicately and place in a buttered and floured 24cm diameter mould.
  3. Bake in a preheated medium oven for 35 minutes and dust with icing sugar before serving. If desired, decorate with whole cherries.
